Structuring Russian-Ukrainian Military Conflict in the Current and Potential Confrontation Dynamic Phases

Abstract

Russian-Ukrainian confrontation, as it has taken the form of a military conflict, is characterized by increased dynamics, which allows us to speak about the permanent emergence of qualitatively new situations at the external and particularly at the internal circuit of confrontation. Specifically, this refers to changes in the configuration of basic structures of the conflict units, as well as to the transformation of several essential characteristics of this phenomenon, which is currently transitioning into the next potential phase of the conflict development. Constant updates to source data parameters of the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation amplify the necessity to structure such a conflict given its systemic dynamics. We believe that studying the conflict using a methodological procedure will enable us to analyze it taking into account its changes and expand the possibilities of more accurate forecasting of its development. Therefore, it will contribute to finding and identifying ways of the constructive resolution of the conflict’s contradiction points. In our research, we rely on structural analysis, which facilitates the process of studying complex, multicomponent objects and systems, such as a social conflict.
