Abstract

The current state of international relations reveals a clear dynamic of transition from the international rules-based order, generated in the depths of the unipolar global order, to a new one. The latter is shifting to multipolar pluralism (the post-American world) on several grounds. In turn, international relations, as well as any other large social system undergoing a state of transition, are characterized by turbulence and stochasticity. A careful analysis of the current phase of international relations' development can reveal several distinctive indicators that clearly convey the condition and content of the transformation processes occurring within this system. The authors of this article believe that identifying these indicators will allow a deeper understanding of the nature of the actively changing global political reality. Furthermore, it will contribute to the clear expression and correction of the current foreign policy strategies and tactics of the Russian Federation. The methods of political science analysis and scripting used in this article authorize a thorough examination of the object and subject of the proposed study.
