Interaction between Russia and NATO in the Context of Contemporary Security Threats from the North Atlantic Alliance

The article is devoted to analyzing the interaction between Russia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in the context of current security threats. It examines the key stages in the development of relations since the end of the Cold War and the reasons for their evolution from cooperation to confrontation. Special attention is given to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s enlargement, the alliance’s military infrastructure, and the influence of strategic documents on these processes. The positions of Western and Russian analysts, political scientists, experts, politicians, and diplomats are explored, as well as the prospects for normalizing relations under the current international situation. Our research is based on the analysis and comparison of official documents, strategic concepts, and expert opinions, which makes it possible to identify the main trends, prospects, and potential scenarios for the further development of the situation regarding the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
