Political Aspects of Japan's Economic Security

The purpose of this work is to analyze Japan's economic security at the current stage, focusing on its political dimension. As in most East Asian countries, key aspects of economic security for the Land of the Rising Sun include energy, environmental, and migration (demographic) issues. These aspects are characteristic of the entire region but also exhibit many features specific to Japan. The methodological basis of the study consists of general scientific methods, primarily the systemic approach, methods of analysis and synthesis, the dialectical method of the unity and struggle of opposites, as well as structural-factor analysis. As a result, the author notes that addressing challenges related to energy security and migration is crucial for ensuring Japan's welfare and economic prosperity, while the country's experience in tackling environmental issues can serve as a foundation for sustainable and peaceful interaction among Northeast Asian countries.
