Abstract

The article delves into the intricate details of Saudi Arabia's ecological strategy within the context of domestic, regional, and global efforts to address climate change, desertification, and greenhouse gas emissions. It is evident that the kingdom's proactive approach manifested through initiatives such as ”Green Saudi Arabia” and the broader ”Green Middle East“, stands as a prime example of effective climate change mitigation efforts. This approach not only demonstrates a commitment to local ac-tion but also presents itself as a model for international cooperation in this critical area. The analy-sis further underscores Saudi Arabia's success in ecological endeavors, highlighting its notable achievements compared to other nations. The pace of implementation and restoration in Saudi Ara-bia appears to be more rapid and substantial than in some other countries, making it a standout ex-ample of progress in environmental stewardship. The government of Saudi Arabia also takes into account its energy policy, as it is closely linked to the environmental security of the country. The Kingdom is implementing programs aimed at improving the conditions for energy initiatives and environmental protection, including cooperation with Middle Eastern states. This includes the for-mation of a policy of “uniting” Arab countries at the regional level and ensuring the preservation of the existing ecosystem. Furthermore, the study highlighted that Saudi Arabia is pursuing a “non-aligned” policy, focusing on enhancing its capacity to ensure environmental sustainability on a global scale, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's reputation as a “green” nation in global rankings.
