The image of the State as an indicator of the development of the Region (on The Example of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Tatarstan)

The article examines the features of development and the individual profile of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation through the prism of studying the structural and substantial features of the image of the state, the specifics and patterns of perception of politics; the main markers of regional consciousness are highlighted. They made it possible to correct the existing system of indicators that provide a comprehensive assessment of the state of the regions. The tasks were solved by means of psychosemantic techniques, questionnaires, the comparison method, as well as the use of the analytical resource WordState. The study showed the differentiation of models of perception of politics and the adaptation of respondents to the modern conjuncture; the presence of a common problem field, leveling regional differences; the absence of a direct correlation between technocratic indicators, rating assessments of regions and a positive perception by the population of the studied subjects of power and the state.
