Фессалийское влияние на военные преобразования Филиппа II

В статье рассматривается проблема заимствования Филиппом II фессалийских наработок в области военного дела. Определяется, что рост могущества Фессалии был связан с военно-политической деятельностью Ясона Ферского, сумевшего улучшить боевые качества наемников, реформировать систему комплектования войска и внедрить новое ромбовидное построение конницы. Результат сравнительного анализа свидетельствует о введении Филиппом II в македонскую практику схожих принципов формирования и боевого применения конных подразделений, позволивших значительно увеличить численность кавалерии царства Аргеадов и расширить ее тактический потенциал. Были перенесены на македонскую почву и ранее использовавшиеся Ясоном Ферским методы, направленные на повышение дисциплинированности личного состава войска.
